This website provides dynamic internet access to Austroads National Performance Indicators (NPI) data. The data is updated annually.

Instructions
When you click on a performance indicator hyperlink you will find the following features:
1. Statistical chart with data by year and jurisdiction. The chart has a number of dynamic user-driven functions:

By holding the cursor over the chart, actual data figures for each jurisdiction and year will be shown in a yellow pop-up caption box.

By holding the cursor over the chart and single right-button clicking, an array of commands becomes available that allows manipulation of the chart. This includes changing the type or look of the chart, transposing the axis and changing the look of the chart.
2. Statistical table with data by year and jurisdiction
- By holding the cursor over the chart and single right-button clicking, a few commands become available such as transposing the x and y axis and printing the table.
- Users can also move the borders and shift the order of rows and tables.
3. Considerations
- Considerations for the indicator grouping are available via the hyperlink at the top of the screen. It is important that the data is viewed in conjunction with these considerations.
4. Qualifications
- Qualifications for the data are available via the hyperlink at the top of the screen. It is important for a full understanding of indicator data that qualifications are taken into account.
5. Methodology
- The Methodology used to calculate the performance indicator is available via the hyperlink at the top of the screen.
6. To allow printing and saving of the interactive graphs

In Internet Explorer go to Tools>>Internet Options>>Security>>Custom Level>>Java
Permissions>> Custom>>Java Custom Settings, then allow Printing and File
access. (you may need to restart the Internet Explorer browser)

Place your cursor over the heading of the indicator and left button click once

Select 'File' and then 'Page Set Up' from your Internet browser menu

Delete any text in the 'Header' and 'Footer' boxes

Select OK
-
Select 'File' and then 'Print' from your Internet browser menu

Select 'Only the selected frame' option in the print dialogue box

Select OK
