Graph 10.1 User Satisfaction Index
Qualifications Considerations Methodology
Prior to 2007 the USI was a derived score based on a calculation that draws on satisfaction scores of individual elements of the road system, applies a weighting to the score for each element and feeds the results into a single index expressed as a score out of 100
In 2007 the USI is a single number based on the response to a single question about overall satisfaction with the road system. At the end of the survey respondents were asked to take into consideration all aspects of the road system and to rate the overall satisfaction with the road system in their area. The overall stated satisfaction was rated out of five. The USI is based on mean overall satisfaction with the road system.
